Taking on and sending up the biggest stories of 2014, an ALL-NEW edition of AIR FARCE NEW YEAR'S EVE comes to CBC Television on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at 8:00 PM (8:30 NT) starring Don Ferguson, Luba Goy, Craig Lauzon, Alan Park, and Penelope Corrin, two new cast members, Darryl Hinds and Aisha Alfa, and a line-up of stellar guests ready to join Canada’s favourite New Year’s Eve party!

TWO NEW AIR FARCE RECRUITS

AIR FARCE is thrilled to have Second City veteran Darryl Hinds and comedy newcomer Aisha Alfa joining the ranks this year.

Darryl Hinds recently wrote and performed in five original mainstage revues for The Second City Toronto. Canadian TV audiences might recognize him from his roles on Odd Squad, Combat Hospital, Little Mosque on the Prairie, and Max & Shred, or from his appearances on Rookie Blue, Degrassi, and Lost Girl. “Being on AIR FARCE has been a dream come true,” says the versatile and hilarious Hinds. “Now I finally have a chance to do impressions of the big-name black Canadian politicians like ... well, I get to play Pharrell.”

Nigerian-born and Winnipeg-raised, Aisha Alfa is quickly making a name for herself on the Toronto comedy scene. The multi-talented performer has performed at the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Las Vegas Comedy Show, Just For Laughs ZooFest, NXNE, and the 2013 Toronto Comedy Brawl. “I am ecstatic to be part of the cast of such an iconic Canadian show,” Aisha exclaims. “I can't wait to watch this on New Year’s Eve with my friends. Then go to bed, because seriously nothing good happens after 9 PM on New Year’s, right?”

MORE GUEST STARS THAN EVER BEFORE!

As always, AIR FARCE is in good company with a line-up of more famous Canadians joining us on set than ever before: Liberal leader Justin Trudeau; from CBC’s hit family series Heartland, Amber Marshall; singing sensation Nikki Yanofsky; celebrity chef and Dragons’ Den star, Vikram Vij; from CTV’s The Amazing Race Canada, host and Olympic gold-medallist Jon Montgomery, along with this year’s winners, Mickey Henry and Pete Schmalz; YouTube phenomenon Lilly Singh (“Superwoman”); and Canada’s 2014 Olympic heroes, Maxime, Chloé, and Justine Dufour-Lapointe.
